I did the socially responsible thing this morning, and took my neighborhood whore cat in to the shelter to get spayed. I've been trying to catch her for months but she never seems to be around at the right time, or I don't have a way to confine her. I need it, so bad. Charles can't go with me and I'm sad.

It has been a stinky two days at work. Skunked dogs, cat anal glands, rotting tumors. My olfactory senses have been offended.

The river was all fun and games, right up until i removed the tip of my right thumb with a cheese grater.

This Vegas trip is turning out to be much more fun. Charles has his head tattooed - not finished, but an outline. The whole thing seemed excruciatingly painful. I stretched my ears, just a little bit to a 10 with some cute purple teeny plugs. Lots of money has been spent. I have blisters on the soles of my feet. I got to see my boyfriend drunk!

That was possibly the least fun trip to vegas I've ever had. I felt like a third wheel the whole time, and plans for shows and clubs were dashed by poor preparation and my traveling companion's loss of most of his cash within 24 hours of arriving in Vegas. I missed my Charles. I suck at blackjack.

Well, I have been busy.

Last week, I actually had a full social calendar, going out every night after work. Friday was my friend Jamie's good-bye party (lucky girl, moving to WA), I drove down to the OC on Saturday night to see stephinextremis, Christine, and to meet the infamous Jamieson. The puppy is a huge pain in the ass, but she's damn cute sitting on my lap playing with her chew toy.

Tomorrow after work, I'm dropping the dogs off at various sitters, filling up the cat's food bowls, and heading off to Reno. We're going up the 395, and I'm looking forward to what I anticipate will be a beautiful drive. I'm totally not prepared ( Read more... )
