Hsin Yeow's thoughts: The Water Is Wide
Kenny and Rei wanted to enter the ballroom to the tune of Can't Help Falling In Love, and they chose Darren Hayes'
soulful version of the song. Gosh, I sweated buckets over it, trying to find a way to be true to the version without sounding straining my vocal chords in the process. Luckily, Kenny trusted me enough, and allowed me to inject my own style into the song. And I have to specially thank my musicians, Jon and Tim, for playing the song so well that it felt like love was tangible in the air as Kenny and Rei entered the ballroom.
The emcees for the night are friends of Kenny and Rei, and I must say that they did a great job! Usually, I'm the one trying to persuade the bride or groom to sing a song onstage. I didn't have to do it this time roung, because the emcees simply handed a microphone to Kenny and asked him to sing!
Perhaps it was planned after all, because Kenny sang Nothing's Gonna Change My Love For You without any lyrics sheet to guide him! At first, he said he would only sing one stanza, but he ended up singing almost the entire song, while Rei watched in rapt attention.
Congratulations Kenny and Rei! Thanks for engaging us to perform at your wedding. May you both enjoy a blissful married life!

The Water Is Wide (

Compliments from Kenny and Rei:
Hi Hsin Yeow and team,
Just returned from honeymoon recently. Thanks for the wonderful songs to make the wedding a very 'special one' for Rei and myself. Lots of my friends and guests who had attended our wedding complimented on your team's performances.
A few of them asked me more about 'A Little Dream'. I must say that we are impressed by your version of the Can't Help Falling In Love With You. You managed to complement our first march-in very well and several of our guests told us that it's a very 'magical' moment.
We would like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt gratitude to your team for the wonderful performance.

hahaha... think I need to clarify that its not planned. I was stuck for a moment when being 'sabotaged' to sing a song. Initially I really intended to sing a song but put off the idea after my wife told me that 'she still need to eat' ..
I had to think hard during that moment and this is the only song that 'somehow' I know most of the lyrics and relevant.
and Yes.... forget to wish Jonathan all the best in your studies! UK is a very nice place. =)
Compliments from a wedding guest:
I was at the wedding of Kenny and Rei too and asked for a namecard just before i leave.
Totally amazed by the kind of standard you guys play at during the dinner. simple, elegant and yet carved a deep impression. Good going guys, and good luck to Jonathan in London!
