Hmph.
Rose went away this morning for a hen... party holiday thing. Something about a spa and drinks and dancing? She's due back tomorrow. Or rather, later on today since it's now gone midnight.
It's a bit boring without her. Sort of quiet. And boring. I said that one, though, didn't I?
Eggbert played with me for a bit but then decided Bolt was more fun. Hmph. I don't know what I did wrong.
I decided the best thing to do was to be productive, so I set about reorganising the kitchen. This lasted until the Toaster - mutinous little thing - ordered me out. So I went around to Jackie and Pete's to see what I could do for them. It's nice to feel useful. Jackie is actually less scary than the Toaster because she doesn't have a heating element.
Clearing out one corner of the attic went rather well, but then I decided to try and get rid of the spiders in the other corner (there were an awful lot of them) and that... did not go so well.
On the plus side, the attic no longer has a spider problem and I still have all my hair and both eyebrows. And the charring on the ceiling is very minor. Just needs a bit of repainting and one or two replacement floorboards and you'll hardly know I was there!
Although Jackie made me a cup of tea after this happened, so maybe the burns on my suit make me look like I need pity, or something. Maybe I should try and use this as a defense mechanism more often.
