Rose still wasn't back by eleven this morning, so, because I am not the sort of person to sit around and stare at the front door and I am definitely not a puppy dog (thank you very much, so called friends), I've popped out to the natural history museum to help classify some fossils. (See! Would a puppy do that? I don't think so.)
("Puppy", indeed.)
I left a note for Rose, so she knows where I am. And the last time I phoned the house she wasn't back yet. I don't want to call her mobile and interrupt if she's still with her friends. Maybe I should just send a quick text so she knows where I am.
There are some nice Cretateous era fossils here, though. Well, I think they are. The others still want to confirm with some proper carbon dating, but I suppose that's fair since they don't know I've actually been there. Lots of little undersea creatures and plants. Fascinating stuff. Of course, it'd be more fun to be there, but it's nice to see this lot at work. Humans are good at fitting together puzzles about history despite never actually having been there. It's impressive.
*Fidgets* Maybe Rose would like to see some fossils when she gets back.
She'll probably want a bath and a snooze, actually, if she was out late. I wonder if the bathroom is clean enough. Maybe I should go back and check.
