Have you ever heard of the Kinsey Scale? It's a scientific rating system designed to record just how straight or gay a person is, on a scale from zero to six (completely straight to completely gay). If a character is asexual, they get an X. This is an actual scientific measuring tool, so OF COURSE it ought to be turned into a meme!
The way this meme works is you make an LJ entry and rate your characters' sexual orientations on the Kinsey Scale, giving each of them a number and an explanation of why you chose that particular number for them. It'll be interesting to see just how varied our fictional characters are, since non-fictional humans are quite varied. Unlike how a lot of media likes to think, we're not all heterosexual, obviously!
I'm going to do this for the current mains in The Church and Its Orbs, though that cast might be changing up a bit.

Gemma: 6, definitely. Too bad she lives in such a homophobic society. :/ She is just not interested in guys, no matter how many times she INSISTS she is. (Sure, Gemma, I believe you.) Her "I like guys" talk is definitely a case of denial, especially as she just couldn't come up with any guy she had crushed on when asked. Her brain was like "variable not found. Error! Error!"
Wren: Well, she was supposed to be a 0, but characters have minds of their own. She kissed Gemma, without my telling her to do that, and has feelings for her. While she still has a boyfriend. Oops. Wren's more like a 2 where she has the capacity to be attracted to women, but generally prefers men.
Kai: He's around a 5 (leaning towards 6), being maybe a little bit more flexible than Gemma, though he still identifies as gay and definitely prefers men. In canon, he's got (mostly?) incompatible feelings for Brandon.
Brandon: He's maybe a 1. I don't think he thinks about guys very often, but he may or may not have returned some of Kai's feelings, only realizing it after Kai dies, if that's even how it happens in canon.
