I am going to start the only way I know how; gah!

Fuck. Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuckity fuck fuck.

You'd think for someone who adores writing I could come up with something else, wouldn't you? Unfortunately at times of great stress, tiredness or gah!ness I have a limited vocabulary - one that recognises words such as gah!ness as a real word in the English language.

I'd ask that you forgive me but I don't care. What I do care about is does anyone know exactly how to kill writer's block?

It's a damn pesky disease and one I can't seem to get rid off. I know exactly what I want to write in the chapter - having had to write it already before the damn computer wiped the damn thing - but I can't seem to put it down on paper. Everytime I open up the document I stare blankly at the screen for at least half an hour, write a paragraph and give up. It's annoying. I have figured out though that I am a tiny bit terrified. I love the idea behind my latest creation, I desperately want to finish it and if anyone else wrote it I would be happy to read it. Sadly I have no confidence whatsoever in my writing - and I have started reading a lot more fanfic lately. This of course does wonders for my knowledge of fanfic but little for my self esteem.

I have no doubts anyone that has read it will agree with me about Mijan's 'Eclipse'. Brilliantly written fic, great characterizations, absolutely divine plot, marvelous dialogue and an absolutely divine writing style.

Now tell me please how a writer feels after reading something like that?

I'll tell you what; I bit like crap. Because, honestly, I do not doubt that I could never write anything half as good. Another example is Vorabiza's 'Secrets', Rhyssen's 'Irresistable Poison' and all of Cinnamon's works, not even taking into account Cyeble's. I have read, re read and reverred every single one of these fics and somehow it's causing me to panic. I don't believe I can write anything worth reading - never have - and I think that may be a part of my problem.

I do not expect to write anything as well known or well written as ANY of the above - but it would be nice to be able to. The fact that I can't annoys me no end.

Awww oh well. I shall take a deep breath now and go make a cup of tea. That helps. And play loud music. That helps too.

I hate frustration it's so... frustrating.

No shit, Sherlock
