i've fallen behind on birthday wishes - sorry bbs! happy belated to x_electrolite_x, ogarasu, jell0_, crackedbuthappy, beax, c0ntrarywise, and lotus_lizzy!
I. i'mma start this post by sharing A MOST GLORIOUS MANIP MADE BY FERA_FESTIVA. she created a picture of herself, spacefragments and me, in which we are wearing lulzy costumes and having a jolly good time. she actually sent a printout to spacefragments so she could decorate her new place with it, lawl. I LOVE IT SO MUCH. M-CUBED IS STILL >>> J-SQUARED, JSYK.
on a related note, spacefragments created THIS AWESOME VOICE CLIP FOR ME, in which she swears at me for being so impatient

II. i forgot to post my doctor who recap, didn't i? i saw the episode saturday evening, and thought it was pretty good.
overall, plenty of funny moments, some good amy/rory relationship-building, and i liked the conclusion as well. i thought it was interesting that the dream lord turned out to be the doctor's dark half. i'd immediately thought of the master as soon as eleven said "only one person hates me as much", but i'm happier with the conclusion we got. i know there's mention of his dark side in the classic series [which i haven't yet seen], so i'm curious to see how moffat's going to play this one out.
lines like "i've seen your dreams amy, some of them twice" seem to be connected to the jacket theory [i.e. doctors from two timelines]. so now we have two doctors in two times, and two doctors in terms of "light" and "dark" - WHICH MAKES ALL OF THIS SO VERY EXCITING. MULTIPLE SIDES OF MULTIPLE DOCTORS, WOO WOO.
eleven was all snippy and easily irritated once again, which i enjoyed [b/c it reminds me of myself it seems to be a recurring theme] and i loved how happy he was when rory and amy kissed in the end. AWH, PLAYING MATCHMAKER AND HAVING HIS PLANS GO A BIT AWRY BUT SOMEWHAT WORKING OUT IN THE END = ♥
speaking of which, amy choosing rory made me really happy. like i've said before, i'd love to see her realise her feelings for rory as they travel the universe together, and this seems to be happening already. it's quite apparent that rory's version of an idyllic life is different from amy's, but perhaps by spending more time with each other OUTSIDE of the tiny town where they live will help them both understand and appreciate each other better.
