[136] lightning yellow is one of my favourite colours
my fingertips suddenly started hurting like crazy last night. or more precisely, it was the flesh right underneath my nails. it hurt so much that i was biting down my fingers to relieve the pressure, but it did no good. thought it was circulation-related but after some google-fu, i think it might be due to oxygen deprivation. i'd read before that if you wear nail polish all the time, the nail beds get used to a certain amount of oxygen deprivation. what was news to me is this discussion, which suggests that if you suddenly leave them bare, the oxygen overload actually causes pain!
i'd removed my polish earlier in the evening and had been planning to put on a different colour, but
the bf showed up and i postponed my plans. then the insane pain began an hour later.
i dunno how much truth there is to this because i've obviously left my nails bare for long periods of time before without encountering any problems. the remover i used is my regular sally hansen moisturising remover for dry/brittle nails and i've never had any issues with it before. hell, i just used it last weekend! anyhow, i immediately put on some polish after reading that thread, and the pain DID start receding soon thereafter. it's been 15 hours since the fiasco begin and the pain is almost completely gone now.
but seriously? i am tired of my body rebelling against me in inventive ways on a daily basis. WHAT THE FUCK EVEN.
at any rate, here is the colour i am currently wearing. this is sally hansen insta-dri in "lightening". 3 coats, no top coat, no flash.

what is UP with his hair? did he and jared make a pact to have crappy hair on their respective weddings? danneel looks gorgeous though and her dress is pretty stunning.

i was going to respond to her, but my browser kept freezing and it was already 5am so i decided to sleep on it. now that i have, my response is: the more i think about 13chapters' comment, the more i want this to happen.
i feel that right now dean is with lisa for the wrong reasons: because a) he thinks she's what he needs and b) he made a promise to his brother. staying with her for those reasons isn't fair to either lisa OR dean.
after the finale, i told chez_amanda that i can completely see the winchesters slowly giving up the hunt and settling down - either by themselves, or with their respective partners. they definitely deserve it. but i don't see how it's possible when one of them is dead/missing/estranged.
long story short: i don't want dean/lisa to last. that being said, i don't want lisa demonised in any way. i also don't want dean leaving her because he just can't take it anymore, or because lisa dies and he goes back on the road for revenge. nor do i want dean just dumping lisa and her son if/when sam shows up at their door. all of that would be boring and trite.
instead, i want to see dean trying his best to make his life with lisa work, but failing because his heart isn't in it completely. how can it be, when his brother's dead and/or missing? and i want HER to initiate the conversation and call him out on his actions, because it would be good to see a strong and mature female response to dean's behaviour. plus, they both deserve better than dean simply staying with her due to reasons a) and b) listed above.
if the writers can manage to do that within the first couple of episodes instead of dragging it out, i will be INCREDIBLY happy. let's leave the shoddy pacing to s5, mmkay?
