I am trying to live the positive by giving it. So far-today-it really paid off. I'm trying to ignore the annoying things, trying to put most of my energy into the good things that I want more of. Watching MythBusters and feeling very proud of my UO Super Summer students. They are totally doing good science and my class is very focused on the Scientific Method. My class is called "Truth, or Hooey?" ALSO, I created a new acronym for the method that makes it easier to remember.

An Eagle Scout candidate is doing his community project by painting a mural at my school with is family. This is him (Zack) and his sisters Grace (blue shirt) and Claire (orange shirt). By golly, some kids are really motivated to learn.
I felt genuinely spoiled by the intelligence and attention these kids gave to their work today. Wowie. Super excited to spend a few weeks thinking hard with them. I know this is going to inform my teaching with my 3rd graders.
