Here I was thinking the previous "Gunsmoke" DVD I watched in the complete series set was having audio dropout issues, but I'm getting them watching the Buster Keaton Blu-ray tonight also. I watch a LOT of streaming video, since I can't really "get out" much these days with my health issues. As a result, I've tried various devices, attempting to find ONE "perfect" device. So far, I've found flaws in all of them I've tried.

The living room was eerily "quiet" when I woke up this morning. Mom is usually watching something on TV that time of morning. This evening, since nothing major was on television, mom and I were watching episodes of "I Dream of Jeannie" on the DVDs I've owned of the series since they were first released in 2007. We finished watching disc 2 of season 4, so I put in disc 3. The "Sony Pictures Home Entertainment" logo came up on the screen as normal, followed by the menu. I ( Read more... )

Mom mentioned to me that she thought the batteries to the remote for the TV in the livingroom were getting weak, so I replaced them. The buttons that were having issues, the "Channel Down" and the "dot"(to access the subchannels, like 8.3) are still not functioning properly ( Read more... )

My 7 year old Sony Blu-ray player started freezing and sputtering last night while watching "The Blues Brothers". Wasn't a disc defect, because it played fine in the slightly newer player I have. Time to "retire" the old machine I guess.

When I got home from work last night, Andrew told me his PS3 stopped working. Well, it somewhat works.
