The Roku player in the bedroom apparently "bit the big one" last night in the middle of watching a show. TV screen suddenly went black. The blinking light on the ethernet port was no longer blinking. Unplugging the box and plugging it back in had no effect ( Read more... )

My 7 year old Sony Blu-ray player started freezing and sputtering last night while watching "The Blues Brothers". Wasn't a disc defect, because it played fine in the slightly newer player I have. Time to "retire" the old machine I guess.

Just noticed my website, along with several others hosted by Bluehost, has been down for some time now. This has been happening more and more recently. Might be time to start shopping for another webhost.

Having to be VERY careful typing at the moment. Keyboard has went a bit "wonky". Caps lock working in reverse. Going out later to buy a new one. Only the second time since I've owned a computer where I've had the keyboard start to fail.
