AT&T guy just left, found a short in the wires in the outside phone box. HOPEFULLY, everything is good to go for now!

Well, yesterday, drove to my ISPs office and switched out my modem. Got it home, same thing, internet dipping "in and out". Called them back. After getting the floor in the bathroom replaced the other day, I feel a little "taller" every time I go in there now. The workers said the house had settled, but the sewer pipe for the toilet didn't, and it was causing the floor under the toilet to bulge up, causing a slow leak around the rim. After a hot, sweaty night, I called "Bell Heating and Air" this morning, informed them of the problem with the air unit. Luckily, they sent someone out about an hour after I called. A couple of days ago, Andrew somehow bumped the screen of his laptop on something, rendering the display unusable. Luckily, when I bought the laptop, I bought a warranty that covers accidents. The guys from "Strange Wholesale Carpet & Vinyl" came out this morning. They have completed the kitchen, will come back in the morning to put linoleum in the bedroom. Kitchen is still in disarray however, because a lot of the stuff that was in the bedroom is temporarily being stored in there. "Mr. AT&T" (can't remember his real name) arrived about 10am this morning to fix the phone and internet connections. He first went to the phone box on the side of the house, hooked a meter up to various wires, and came to the conclusion that there was major power loss for the phone line, and the problem wasn't inside the house ( Read more... )
