Still wondering who put me on "Simmons Sporting Goods" mailing list. Apparently the culprit doesn't know me very well. I've NEVER been into hunting or fishing, so every time one of those catalogs appears in my mailbox, it goes straight into the trash.

Since it's raining, I grabbed an umbrella to walk out to the mailbox. Lots of good it did. A car was passing by on the road, and drenched me JUST as I was about to open the box. :-/

Here I was thinking the mail was EXTREMELY late today. Because I had outgoing mail, I put the flag up on the mailbox. Looked out the window from time to time, flag was still up. Turns out the mail carrier didn't put the flag down after stopping at the box. Geesh.

Got three pieces of mail today. One from Social Security with forms to fill out and send back. They have already been contacted by Myler Disability about my claim ( Read more... )

"Package Mystery" I posted about yesterday is now solved. It was a large envelope from Myler Disability with the paperwork I needed to physically sign and date for them to start working on my disability claim. Although why USPS had it listed as from "Rapid Enterprises" on the Informed Delivery website is still a mystery.

So, I get the USPS "Informed Delivery" email this morning, there's a mysterious first class item from a U-Haul place in Florida with moms name on it pictured, and "ATTN: Andrew Sims" under her name. Andrew moved to Florida with his girlfriend a few months ago. Until the mail actually arrives, mom and I are wondering just WTF this is all about. We ( Read more... )

Methinks something fishy goin' on at the West Monroe Post Office. Nearly the end of month and STILL no water bill, electric bill, and no Comcast internet bill. Either we didn't get any mail today, or it's running very late again. Saturday before last, I didn't get Saturday's mail until Tuesday. I had given up checking for it by 4pm that Saturday, but when I took a bill out to the box to mail that Tuesday morning, mail was in the box.
