I drove down the south coast of Scotland with the Canadians today. New Abbey & had lunch at Sweetheart Abbey... then to Rockcliffe and Kippford... then to Dundrennan Abbey... the Kirkcudbright and back.

I drove the Canadians around today in the rain. We went to lots of different places but only got out of the car a few times to walk around (rain). We saw Drumlanrig Castle, Wanlockhead, Mennock Pass, Dalveen Pass, Friar's Carse, Ellisland Farm, Lincluden, 12 Apostles, and some houses Jim used to live in.

It's extremely dry and hot lately. Heat wave and drought.... Grass is all getting brown. Not much for the guinea pigs.

I think it's been a month since my last LJ post.

Today I am playing with Amelie and Ayla. We are babysitting while their parents are out. Adam is here too on his computer game chatting and playing with friends. Me and the girls were outside for a while, nice sunny day... but now watching something on YouTube... The Fun Squad .

Internet reception has been off and on throughout the trip, but we are currently stopped at the station in Winnipeg, so I thought I'd write a little something.

Enjoying the trip. First full day (in the Rockies) was better than Second full day (in the Canadian Prairie), but I guess that's to be expected.

It's been so cold lately. Very frosty.

We're going to a Rat Pack tribute show tonight in Dumfries. The weather today is a bit of a mess. Obviously, it's indoors but still a bit of a hassle to go out. We don't go to many shows, really.
