I used to live in Rockville, Maryland when I was between a few months and 4 years old... so very early childhood. I don't think the Rockville in this song has anything to do with Rockville, MD but that's what I think of when I listen to it.
It's a good early REM song... and it's from right around the time that I saw REM in concert at UMass around 1984ish.
