Paul McCartney this weekend
We are going to Manchester on Sunday to see Paul McCartney in concert. We have good seats (aka expensive seats) only five rows back from the stage.
I booked a place to stay in Chorley, which is northwest of Manchester, outside of the city (so less expensive), and thinking it'd be convenient enough just to drive and park at the concert car park.... But it transpires that all arena parking spaces have been totally booked (there's also a nearby Manchester football game).... so I still need to figure out the plan.
Anyway, tomorrow I will figure it out. Likely will just go by taxi... but want to investigate the option by rail.
I'm always looking for cheaper options, as I guess I'm a cheap guy.... But in the grand scheme of things, the concert itself was expensive, so don't know why I'm trying to be cheap now. If we just go and return by taxi, I'll be able to have a few beers I guess...
