Missing Cat / Found Cat

Dec 14, 2024 15:21

Rosie has been doing well lately. But we keep her in a cage / crate in the conservatory most of the time, where she has her food, water and litter tray.

We take her out to sit on our laps, but we've been careful not to leave her unattended in the kitchen where there's a cat flap leading outside.

Until today ...

We somehow got distracted, Rosie was in the kitchen, I went back to the living room... Linda and Jenny were both in the kitchen but somehow before we realised it, Rosie had slipped out the flap.

We searched outside, all around. Even drove around the nearby roads ... and she was missing for a few hours today.

We went out to watch Amelie's ballet show, went to lunch, bought some wreaths, put the wreaths on Irene's grave and at the bench at the Crichton... then finally came home.

Luckily, Rosie was there waiting for us under the other car. It was a relief to get her back.

She'll get out when she's better but not quite yet.
