Get Thee to a Nunnery
For quite some time, I've wondered what has become of a girl who I had my first crush on... a small crush... dwarfed by other later crushes and infatuations... but my first one.
It was in about second grade and a bit onward. Nothing ever became of it. Very young... just a special interest in one particular classmate girl. I remember one year we had to give valentine cards to everyone in class... and I made a very small little heart on hers... as a semi-secret message, I think.
I went thru school with her and lots of other people all the way thru high school... and my interests moved on, extremely shy anyway... so it's really not a big thing with this girl... I think I was more attracted to her intellect anyway... always both in the same classes as I was one of the smarter kids too.
So now in this age of Facebook, I wonder what has become of her. I'm afraid to ask. She has a Facebook profile but apparently doesn't use Facebook much as she is not friends with other old classmates. One of the only things on her page is that she likes a Catholic religious order in southeastern Massachusetts. I think she may be a nun.
