Four day week at work, as Monday was a holiday. We went to the Dino Park with the kids and Jenny. Had lunch there and a little tray bake or two. The weather has been pretty good lately. Warm, like almost summer.
Earlier, Monday, I finally got my tyre fixed on the white car. It had had a screw in it for THREE WEEKS but I couldn't get it fixed as I didn't have the locking nut key.... which got ordered, but delayed. Luckily, we were able to pump the tyre up with an air compressor we have and still use it.... but it was getting worse.... I'm sure I told this story already. ANYWAY, on Friday, finally, the part arrived and long story short (and a hundred and something pounds later) I have a brand new tyre..... Need to avoid screws.
I didn't have to pay for the part (locking nut key) but they tried to charge £70 or so.... in the end, I got it free as I never seemingly received it when I got the car. I'm sure I went over this. Anyway, got it, and finally got a new tyre on Monday. Whew.
My "The Week" magazine subscription has run out, after I've cancelled it. Not sure how I feel about it. I'll miss having that steady stream of news from around the world. Feeling a bit twitchy without it, actually. I'll have to buy a newspaper from time to time.
