We won the Super Cup!! :DD
Yush yush! Liverpool have won their first (and hopefully not their last) trophy of the season. Though, of course, it was no easy feat. Why does my team insist on making me worry so much every single time they play? We trailed to CSKA Moscow (UEFA cup winners, obv.) 1 nil for most of the match. Then Dibril Cisse comes on and scores in the 82nd minute, taking us to extra time. Then in extra time Cisse scored a second and then Luis Garcia made sure with Liverpool's 3rd goal (which I'm sooo glad he scored, might get some of the crits off his back for his poor finishing, poor guy). So they saved me from going through another penalty shoot out and were also able to lift the Super Cup for the 2nd time in 4 years. Woot!! Twas also nice for Jamie Carragher to lift a trophy as Liverpool captain for the first time (though I did miss Gerrard not playing >.>).
Of course there was all the speculation about Michael Owen returning to Liverpool. They went on about it so much it was actually starting to get on my nerves. Me! tired of hearing about Michael Owen, now there's a first. For the record, I do want him to come back, just like most Liverpool fans, haha.
Aside from the football, yesterday it was my younger sister's 18th birthday and so we had lots of balloons and party whistles and banners and stuff to mark the landmark age. She was happy with the presents she got and is having some friends over for a proper celebration on Tuesday.
Also, the past couple of days I have been obsessing over the Naruto songs that have appeared on the 'net following the release of the 2nd movie in Japan. I think my favourite is definitely Naruto Ondo. Naruto, Sakura and Shikamaru mention random characters names in it as they sing and rap through it, the best one I've spotted so far being Iruka's, haha. I do love Akamaru's random yapping too, which also features in the other cracky song Oh! Enzo. Plus tis a big haul for the 2nd movie OST, 41 tracks!! Took a while to download 'em all (but nowhere near as long as it would have taken on dial up XD)
And I shall finish there so I can get some more of FA chapter 3 written up before I get too tired, lol.
