Holy shit! My parents have no electricity.
They have a generator hooked up, have tv, a crockpot, and a lamp, plus a gas stove, so they're warm, they have water and food, & they're okay.
Apparently, trees are exploding and limbs are falling. Mum says it looks like a tornado went through town, and everyone outside the city limits is out of power.
My dad took my sister to work (she's a server), and in the time it took him to drive past a tree in the north part of town across town to the restaurant and back (15 minutes tops), this huge old oak tree had fallen in the road. I know that tree. It's sad. And a willow tree that's in front of a greenhouse exploded. It was always so pretty in the summer.
Branches have started to fall around my parent's house, and it sucks ass because all they can do is sit around and listen and watch them fall. They've moved the cars out of the way, so they won't be damaged.
It sucks, but everyone's okay and warm and fed.
