Job hunting, work, health issues, stress, OSAP, poverty, shitty hours at work because of the March Break, applying to France...life has not been kind to me. On the relationship, friendship and family side it continues it's awesomeness. Jamie's birthday was a success! We went to Body Blitz and then met up with Ana at Il Fournello's which is pretty fancy. And delicious!
I saw Kiki and Jan this month! They came to visit during their March Break. Io and I took them to see The Lorax in IMAX which they loved. I miss having them around.
As aforementioned, I applied to an exchange program in France. I don't find out till after the 27th of March (they extended the application deadline) which is freaking frustrating because I would've found out last week. Now there are more and more talks of a strike happening at York and if it does, not only is my final exam jeopardized (apparently the decision to strike will be on April 5th...the day of my last freaking exam) but the exchange program goes to hell. I want to start working towards my life now...please?
I met up with White Laura (not me) this weekend. I visited her in Burlington. It was a lot of fun hanging out with her and Mark. She officially asked me to be in her Wedding Party, I was flattered :) I said Yes. We drank Vodka Jell-o shots, ate delicious food and hung out. I have not seen her since October which is ridiculous.
Hopefully all goes well and I'm able to see Chelle this weekend. I miss her too!
Class is intense but good. I actually like going and feel that despite the shitty curriculum, I'm actually learning and retaining something! Le shock!
On the plus side, despite everything else being crap, I still have awesome people around me. I have a bunch of things to look forward to, like my Photoshoot with Paulamanaa on August 11 (fingers crossed for that date!) I have a theme in mind! It's Vintage Burlesque Boudoir. Inspirations: Dita Von Teese, Veronica Lake, Pin Up Girls and 40's Glam. I am so freaking excited. I think this is the birthday present for myself that I am most excited for and happiest with! I want to get my Venetian Mask, a sexy fascinator and thigh high stockings :D. I need some self-love and pampering, I've neglected myself for too long.
I'm reminded of my Host Family in France and one of the catchphrases they always told me: Determinated!!!
