OK, I'm back from my cruise which went exceedingly well right up until the last day when I apparently got a mild case of food poisoning. Made the first class flight back a bit unbearable. This morning I broke into the 150s, 159.8 pounds to be precise. On my way to meeting my goal of 150-155 by cruise time. Seven weeks and counting. I'd go to the gym today if it was open.

UPDATE: The gym was open; I went. 159.4 on Tueday morning.

When I was talking with Carter Eye Center yesterday about the corrective LASIK procedure, they discussed with me all the things I should not do for two weeks while my eyes heal. Now, you need to understand that I am trying to time this so that I don't have to wear glasses on my October cruise. Glasses are a drag when almost all of your activities ( Read more... )

For the third time (second year in a row) I have scheduled a tubing trip for my friends only to have to call it off at the last minute due to last minute cancellations of previously committed individuals. I think I shall schedule one no more.
