I have the shade drawn over my kitchen window so as to prevent glare on my monitor. The bit of sunlight leaking around it casting the perfect image of a recurve bow on the wall next to the pantry door.

Karen just called to cancel our next appointment. Her mother died and her daughter gave birth on the same day.

I got the usual e-mail from Match.com this morning, containing a couple dozen links to profiles of women much taller than me, much younger than me, and/or who live in Outer Mongolia. One, though, I read carefully; although she is looking for someone taller than I am1, I was impressed by her knowing what a French curve is2.

The forecast has been careening wildly between zero (or at least unreported) and fifty percent chance of precipitation. Currently it stands at 40% today and none reported tonight; works here.
