I win...for the most part...for now
I woke up this morning with no Christmas shopping done for my family and nothing written for my Yuletide assignment. (If you're reading this post-unveilment, Yuletide person, I honestly do write better under pressure!)
After four hours of shopping, I've got everyone but Mom done. *w00t* And a few of my friends and my coworkers...shit. (I don't want to know what I've spent this year! It's waaaay too much over all, I know, but I can't stop myself!)
Come home and with headphones on (and a warning to my parents not to disturb me) I sit down and write. And write. And crap did I write. If nothing else, even if I completely screwed up the characterizations, the length of it should give me some credit. Or it could just mean that I rambled on out of character and I suck. I have two people beta'ing it now. *Crosses fingers*
Now I'm going to watch the stuff I dl'd earlier this week but never watched because I was too worked up over work and reading the end of the Dark is Rising. Yes, ashkitty, I've finally finished, and they were good, like you said. And there is plenty of potential, as you also pointed out. I'll have to look into the DiR fandom soon!
