I'm currently doing a FMA RP that has some pretty heave BDSM overtones to it and the fact the Dom IS taking the time to listen to his sub, they have a safe word and there is communication is what makes it so hot and fun :)

I'm with you. I LOVE a good BDSM fic. The problem is they often are DREADFUL with no understanding of the subject matter.

Do you have some recs? I found one that I've been passing out cuz it was lovely (and the author's notes were a nice bonus). scissoring is when the top spreads his fingers whilst fingering or stretching, it can actually split the sphincter and it does not exist outside of fanfic, i can sort of understand where it came from but it's like the worst trope ever, because in no way is it attractive, and it would hurt both of them (you put your fingers in an elastic band and spread them)
