So, life is going swimmingly at the moment. Yes, I am stressed out. Yes, I have more reading and homework than I think is possible to finish (but I know I will). However... Yes, I have made friends. Yes, I am holding strong on my abandonment of fanfiction. Yes, I have a handy-dandy new laptop to help me with my homework.
I am thinking of writing again as stress relief. For my Foundations of OT class, we had to write down two of our big dreams for the next 10 years, and one of mine was to write two novels: one cheesy scifi and one about a crazy group of girls (who could that be). We should collaborate on that one Gemini. :) Anyway, she didn't tell us that another student in the class was going to treat us like a client and design an intervention to help make those dreams happen. So, my therapist (aka classmate) is going to help me figure out how to get back into writing again. :) Yay! I have to do it for a different girl in my class. It's going to be interesting and fun. If I start writing again, does anyone want to proof it or just offer opinions?
I have my first exam tomorrow. I'm not super worried about it. It is Musculoskeletal Anatomy. My roommate quizzed me and was falling asleep by the time we were done. It was amusing. Tomorrow I have to help her study for Spanish.
I don't speak Spanish.
In other news, I was pulled over on suspicion of drunk driving this afternoon. Just to clarify, the only alcohol I've had in the last month was from NyQuil, and that was three nights ago. I was utterly and completely sober this evening. I was driving on the far lane of a four lane road. On the opposite side of the road, they were in a parking lot with their lights on. I slowed down, almost to a stop, because that is my knee jerk reaction to flashing lights. I was basically trying to stay out of the way in case they had an emergency. They turned their lights off, so I started going again. I drove normally, but I realizee I am speeding a little. I let off of the gas to slow down. A cop pulled behind me and turned on his lights. Apparently I was driving in a fog lane. He thought I seemed distracted. He checked my license and gave it back. His exact words to me were, "I wanted to make sure you weren't intoxicated." He was really young, and there was another car following him. So it was either a very slow night, or he was new and overly eager to catch someone doing something bad. All in all, after I realized he wasn't going to give me a ticket, and he wasn't going to make me get out and do a sobriety test where everyone could see, I thought it was really funny. :)
