Okay, I guess.
I got a few GREAT presents. I got Marc Jacobs Daisy perfume, Marc by Marc Jacobs sunglasses (brown), Coach sunglasses (black), Hairspray, a BCBG sweater, and a few other wonderful items.
Save for the sweater and the perfume, all my presents pretty much came from my Mommy. I adore her, I truly do. I think my mom is the living image of a successful single parent. She has found the time and money to work and raise me properly. Aside from all of that, she's put her half-sister through nursing school in the Philippines, paid for her father's medical bills when he came down with tuberculosis, helped her sister and her family out whenever possible, and countless other wonderful things for our family in the Philippines. How she found the funds to put me through school AND buy me designer sunglasses... I have no clue. She's provided me with everything I could ever need and want, and all on her own. She has all these horrible medical problems that keep her so physically weak, and I just don't know where she gets the strength and energy to provide for us all. My mom lets me stand in the presence of a hero almost every day. She reminds me of what the women in our family are capable of doing. She's amazing, and the best Christmas present I could have asked for this year is something I've had since I was conceived: my mommy.
Tomorrow... Is another work day.
And then maybe UNF will let me register for classes.
christmas,
mommy
