Late night dinner/snack: pasta with alfedro sauce (my favorite easy midnight meal) and a white russian... in a martini glass with ice cubes. Yes, I am really that classy.
My Southeast Asia trip is slowly coming together. The plan for months has been to take off two weeks in October and visit friends in Singapore. Now we might also go to Malaysia and Bali. Today I had the crazy idea of tacking on a couple days in Hong Kong or Tokyo. Doubt the latter will happen, but it's fun to think about! At one point, I was invited to go to India after the trip with said friends. I definitely do not think it will happen... but again, so cool!
In addition in October, I have Yosemite Facelift to look forward to in September. From September 20-25 (Tuesday-Sunday), hundreds of volunteers will descend upon Yosemite National Park to clean up after the busy summer season. I spend most of my time picking up trash, the majority being cigarette butts. Anyone on the flist want to come with me this year? This will be my third year going. Jeff is supposed to come with me, along with a friend or two. Since I have shows on the weekend through October, I will be staying only through Friday or Saturday. If you volunteer at least 3 hours a day, you can get a free campsite!
On top of the late summer/fall excitement, I might be able to tag along to my little sister's European band tour during Spring Break 2012! I have enough miles through Virgin Atlantic to do the flight for almost nothing.
Despite feeling very overwhelmed this afternoon, it's hard not to conclude that my life is going well. I feel so so blessed.
