House of Usher

So, in the weeks since I've seen Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, I have actually made new friends!! Horrah!! One of those new friends has a movie club every week. It's the same group I saw SP with. Last Wednesday, we watched House of Usher, based on the Edgar Allen Poe story. It is a Roger Corman film, starring Vincent Price. Price was delightful to listen to. Gotta to be one of the best acting voices ever! Besides the obvious Thriller song, I hadn't seen any of his films before. I'd give the movie a B. Depending on how you view things, the movie either padded a light storyline or had plot holes. However, it is a very short movie, maybe an hour twenty. It only has a few really spooky parts. Nice production values!

The Ghost Writer

I picked this up at Blockbuster on Friday. I wanted Iron Man 2, but turns out, it doesn't come out till end of the month. I like Pierce Brosnan and Ewan McGregor, which is the main reason I picked it out. I really enjoyed it. The scenery was really gorgeous! I liked all the twists.

Somewhere in Time

I didn't like it. It had odd pacing. The romance between Richard and Elisse felt rushed to me.
