A list of happy things
I really like blogging in lists.
- My apartment is half clean. The kitchen is almost spotless. The balcony is cleared away enough that I can put a dwarf citrus tree there. We are winning the War On Bed Bugs.
- Today, Jeff and I went to the Underwood Family Farm in Moorpark. I've heard of them before, and driven by their Somis location on numerous occasions. They have an awesome produce stand. We bought rhubarb and strawberries, among other things. I am making a strawberry-rhubarb crumble in celebration.
- The Ventura County Library has graphic novels and comic books!! This is fantastic. I love the library.
- Biking to the library makes me feel like I've accomplished something.
- Jeff and I bought our plane tickets to Japan last night! $475/person. I was able to give him a check right after. Last year, I could barely afford to pay rent for the first couple months living with him. This is a sign that life is good.
- It has been much cooler this week- in the 80s!
- As a result of the cooler temperatures, I am able to keep the blinds open. We have a huge window that leads out to out small balcony. We get the afternoon sun hardcore. Normally, I have to close the blinds by now because it's too hot. Course, the AC and ceiling fan help as well.
