Happy Imbolc, y'all!
Spring here is not necessarily about significant warming, it seems, but rather the noticibly lengthening daylight.
This morning the sun was slanting through a blue sky with wispy mares-tales and sea-foam banks of clouds that belended into the cascade mountians along the horizon. A single patch of rainbow light shone through a bit of sky between two clouds, a bit to the right of the sun. Not an arc, just a rainbow-y patch. Not something I've seen often. That it's daylight during my morning commute is significant, and new. It'll be sunset on my way home. But the *spring* smell, and feeling, is here. I'll be restless until summer now.
I'm having the urge to find planter boxes, and garden, as much as is possible, on my little porch. I'm thinking maybe those hanging tomato planters, a box of lettuces, and snap peas going up the railing.
