cherokerain brought me a pretty new blue plastic sled (we'd left the other one behind when we moved), but she won't sled, on account of having busted her head sledding as a kid. I mean really, actually busted, as in broken skull bones. But then
ursuscelticus came over, and the Eyas said there was a hill at the community center where he goes for gaming, and so off we went. And all those times the last few years when I've wished I could go sledding with him? Now I *can*!
It was a pretty good hill, too. Would have been better if the fence hadn't been there, but it was still good. And we rode down on our bellies, stacked on the sled (me on top), too. The other nominal grownups there were all supervising smaller children, but we were the only ones playing; wrestling in the snow, whooping and sliding down the hill. Who says you have to stop having fun? Not me! And
cherokerain had hot tea when we got home :)
Now, I got a fire, roasted chestnuts, and red wine. Yum. That's what I call a snow day.
