One of the best times of the year is here. Getting ready for Christmas!

We don't have even an inch of snow and it's not even properly cold but for some reason it doesn't bother me too much this year. I'm so excited to buy decorations and making everything ready. Now that we have a big cool house there're so many places to make pretty!

I'm nuts :)

It was a nice Christmas. We were at my sister's place on Christmas Eve, as usual, doing the usual things. The next days we were at Mikko's parents. Nothing special there either. Already back at work so it really feels like Christmas ended just when it had started. It's like my work is giving me the last screws. Plus these three damn long days, my New Year's is ruined too. Hmm. Managed to find some Christmas spirit and inspiration to do something for Christmas. So I made some candies, cleaned up my kitchen (more thoroughly than normal) and put up some decorations. Surprise, surprise. The temperature is over zero, it's raining and almost all of the snow is gone. Would have saved myself from one more disappointment if it hadn't snowed in the first place ( Read more... )

This is so fucked up. We have below zero temperatures like always but when the low pressure comes the temperature rises so high that everything that comes down is rain instead of snow.

Anyway. In the end I did get something LotR related for Christmas. My friend had bought me a Gimli cookie jar. It's pretty awsome :)
