Trip to town, bus service rant, & DVDs

Jan 10, 2007 17:16

Went to town with the Jem today. ^_^ I didn't buy anything (bar a SubWay meal), but I was horribly tempted by DVDs. (Must..... resist......)

I also have a little bit of news, which I may post in a friends-only update later on. We shall see. :)

INTERLUDE: RANDOM IM CONVO FROM LAST NIGHT - LAME HUMOUR ABOUNDS

velmaneuwirth: Is it bad that when Sofie got her arm cut off the thing I noticed what was great legs she has? When she was failing. lol

.....She'd been watching parts of Kill Bill Vol. 1 for the first time, can you tell? :P

END INTERLUDE

I also got my hair cut this morning. Nothing drastic, I just needed to have it tidied up a bit. Problem was, I was 20 minutes late for my appointment. o_O I overslept, because I am a complete knob. Thankfully, they weren't too busy so they could still fit me in.

Catching the bus reminded me of just why I am so fed up with this town's main bus service. The bus driver was incredibly snarly & out of order when I politely changed my mind about buying a single ticket & went for a return ticket instead. >_< I've had problems with wankers like him before. Also, the ticket price has been increased again. Fantastic. If it's not the high ticket prices, its the buses running either too late or too early. Then you have the bus drivers to contend with, who usually consist of arrogant fucktards. At least they get to the proper location on most occasions.

The other bus service, which runs from this town to a few villages, is far better in terms of price. While it may have the same problem with punctuality & rude bus drivers, it has much more reasonable ticket prices. On the main bus service, it now costs me £1.90 to get from my estate into the town centre - the distance of which is a mile or less. On the other bus service, however, it costs me £2.00 to get from the town centre to the village where Euan lives - and the distance is about three miles. So much more reasonable.

Yesterday, I bought Kairo, aka Pulse, with some of my HMV gift cards - it was only a fiver. Other DVDs I've purchased recently include Gorgeous (also £5.00) & Ju-On: The Grudge 2 (at freaking last). I have yet to watch any of them, but I'll get round to it someday. :P

Bye for now.

kill bill, haircut, jem, shopping, food, lolz, i have the dumb, rude people, dvds & blu-rays, bus service issues, im conversations, films, money, rants
