To say that Michael usually had trouble sleeping was a big understatement. It came to be close to impossible at times to even lay still in so he could fall asleep for at least a couple of hours, but today he was able to sleep for a little bit longer than that. As Michael picks up his notebook so that he can put it in the overnight bag he had packed a little earlier, four envelopes fall from the middle of it. For a moment he stares at them, tempted to just leave them laying there on the floor until he comes back, but instead he picks them up, trying to decide what to do with them.

( The first envelope would stay hidden in one of the drawers of his desk, because that one was for his grandfather. )
