It's time for... school?

Yesterday was a total waste of a "work" day, but I had fun anyway. gdmusumeci and I washed my car, with attendant silliness with the hose (yay, my car's back to being silver instead of dark grey). It still needs *something* to get the last of the gritties off it, but at least I don't recoil in horror when I have to touch it anymore. I hung around for a bit pretending to work but not accomplishing much (can we spell "burnout", kids? I knew you could!) until it was time to go get cadhla from the airport. She'd had a bit of a lousy weekend so I took along the present porpentine and I had gotten her -- a half-gallon of Starbucks' Pumpkin Spice syrup. (This makes more sense if you understand that cadhla is a sucker for all things pumpkin. We are now like unto gods in her eyes.) Then she and I went up to the Baja Fresh to meet up with gdmusumeci, where a good time was had by all. She got dropped off at her house, and I came home to go to bed early like a responsible student.

Today... Today I have class. For the first time in four years. I'm terribly nervous, since I have to convince this professor that he wants to let me into a class I've flunked three times (although I'm not going to *tell* him that). I have my book, I have a notebook, I have pens and my add/drop form and my chequebook, I can do this, right? Right?

Yargh.
