I've decided the the link sausage posts must die. Having that many tabs open in my browser is really doing a number on my poor laptop's performance and I hate that.
Instead, I've made a del.icio.us account, which you can find
here. I'm hoping lots and lots of you guys join too, so we can all go together in one glorious blaze of reduced productivity. (The "import bookmarks" think actually works quite well, with the caveat that you then have to go through and tag and share things so the rest of us can see them.)
I've currently got two links unshared, because I couldn't figure out how to tag them. I've got a big meta-post floating around my head about tagging and meta-data and the difference between what I do with real-world objects (this is: cat, mine, blue, female, black collar, Grace, snuggly, pees on things) and what I do with online objects (this is: cat, Russian-blue) and how I think about data, but I have to go get ready for school (if I don't get there sick early, I can't get parking in their teeny-tiny commuter lot).
So instead, I shall close with this: Happy birthday,
director_dale! I hope you're having a lovely day.
My apologies to anyone whose birthday I've missed. I've started updating from the
portal again, now that they've made it available through that "My LJ" link, so I should be better about it from here on in.
