To date, 83 % of all US deaths in Iraq are due to IEDs, improvised explosive devices, blowing up under Hum Vs.
When US delegates, ie John McCain etc, visit Iraq they ride in Cougars, armored vehicles with heavy under armor in a V shape the deflects explosions away from the vehicle. These are virtually impervious to IEDs.
It would cost $8.4 billion to provide the 7500 Cougars needed for the troops in Iraq.
The current defense budget is in excess of $600 billion.
So what really are we supporting other than the bottoms of military coffins as they exit cargo planes in media restricted zones as the bodies return home?
