I don't actually have any Christmas icons. Woe.

This is TWO DAYS IN A ROW I have posted. And two days in a row I have read my flist! I only (!) went back to skip=200 yesterday, so if you posted anything prior to, oh, the 17th, I missed it. (Starting back around February-ish, that is.) Anything you want me to see? Linky linky!

I decided about 6:30 last night (coincidentally, it's 6:30 now!) that I wanted to bake cookies. So I looked up a recipe on allrecipes.com and found one for what looks like Really yummy Molasses Sugar Cookies. I needed a couple of ingredients, so I hied myself up to Albertson's (about a mile and a half up the road--I do sorta miss the convenience of my old apartment sometimes) and picked 'em up. And then picked up some chocolate chips, too, because what's Christmas without chocolate chip cookies? NOTHING. NOTHING, I SAY.

So last night, I baked chocolate chip cookies, and this afternoon, I put together the dough for the molasses sugar cookies. It has to chill for about 3 hours, so it's in the fridgerator at the moment. And now I'm thinking--what else can I bake? Because obviously, having a Really Nice Kitchentm has turned me into a baker. Or something.

I bought yeast yesterday in a fit of optimism. Bread, maybe? Hmmmmmm..... Anyone know anything about kneading dough on tile countertops? It's granite tile, but it *does* have grout lines. Is this problematic (bacteria, etc.)? Should I hie myself back to Albertsons and pick up some parchment paper, maybe? Anyone?
