Betty Friedan died yesterday. I read The Feminine Mystique in 8th grade, and was amazed by all of the people who thought that feminism was irrelevant and that sexism no longer existed. Friedan was an amazing activist who founded the National Organization for Women, which is still a very relevant organization which still does a lot of very good ( Read more... )
