Inter-ness: Bored in Palermo

Oct 30, 2007 10:17

(Still not going so well for Suazo)
I'm pretty sure Inter have Stefano Colantuono to thank for not losing that match -- someone needs to send him a gift basket for playing 4-5-1 at home and not punishing Inter for wandering around in a daze for an hour or so. Well, that and his keeper had a great game, managing to keep even Zlatan at bay.

Really, Inter were sucky for the first half. They started to play a bit in the second, but apart from two great Zlatan chances and Chivu hitting the bar, there really wasn't much good in it. There was, however, lots of bad. Bad: Horribly injured Serb, out for god only knows how long. Bad: Injured JC, broken Toldo, Paolo Orlandoni in the net. Oh, oh, dear. Also, speaking of bad, the Inter website said Luis Jimenez was working with the injured crew yesterday. What the hell happened to him?! Sorry, I digress.

Palermo 0 - 0 Inter

Palermo: Fontana; Zaccardo, Biava (Rinaudo 82), Barzagli, Capuano (Cassani 78); Diana, Simplicio, Guana, Caserta, Bresciano (Miccoli 40); Amauri

Inter: Julio Cesar (Orlandoni 46); Maicon, Cordoba, Samuel, Chivu; Zanetti, Stankovic (Dacourt 46), Cambiasso, Cesar; Ibrahimovic, Suazo (Cruz 84)

Look how exhausted they look. Perhaps warming up too hard explains the game's walking pace?

Thank you, Palermo website, for letting us see who everyone likes to sit next to. Hai, Figo.

Let's start with Cordoba, shall we?

He can jump hella high, despite being only about 4'10".

See?

Of course, jumping over Miccoli isn't exactly an accomplishment, seeing as he's not tall enough to ride anything at Disney World.

And his partner in defensive crime, Mr. Samuel.

He and Cordoba are kicking so much ass that Matrix might never get back in the team.

Bitch, please. You're going to have to do more than that to beat The Wall.

Also? Not ugly.

Of course, when you're as old as he is, you let others do the jumping. (And NO he is not looking at Amauri's ass. Shut up.)

*sniff* Sweet Deki.

He looked so hopeful when the day started.

Granted, he looked lost, but he was trying.

I love this picture -- you can just feel Zanetti's anxiety.

This might be why.

And then it all went terribly wrong.

(Mancio couldn't look.)

Whatever you do, do NOT ogle his thighs. Or his tattoos. He's suffering, dammit! (Picture stolen from razor2rosary.)

Let's pretend Deki's not borked and just ... look at other people, huh?

Like Cesar!

Short, deeply unattractive, and a complete stud.

Notice where this picture is taken: Cesar plays from box to box and everywhere in between. Like I said: Stud.

And then there's Chivu. More of a dork than anything else.

He is getting better, though.

You can't see it here, but he also revealed himself to be even MORE into touching than Deki. This can't help but be a plus.

BWAHAHAHAHHHHAA!!! Look, his hair has turned into busy sideburns!

He was awesome, again.

I've lost count of how many MOTM award he's gotten in a row, but it's a lot.

Oi, Suazo! Look at the goddamn goal!

Ooops.

Jumping OVER the haters.

You think two people can stop him? Please.

Sadly for him, Zlatan had to play with Suazo.

He was bad again, poor man.

To his credit, he did try to fly. That's quite ambitious.

Also, trying to stop falling down quite so much. That's progress, right?

Look at Drea. So not bothered.

Sigh.

Apart from this weird bowing thing, the Captain was delightful.

*is not looking at the saintly one's thighs*

As you might expect, his partner-in-Argie was also hanging about.

By which I mean falling on his ass.

Or, sometimes, looking at the asses of others.

And, also, cozying up to the wrong damn keeper.

It was only fair, though, because Orlandoni was slutting it up with the other team.

God, who knew?

It was his second appearance for Inter. EVER.

Genoa away tomorrow, which I'm telling you right now could very well be a disaster -- they are GOOD, people, and Inter are on their third-choice keeper and playing really distractedly right now. I am officially worried.
