For those of you who do not know already, the cell phone that has doubled as my paper weight for 5 years has finally rang it's last ring. You may say, hey no big loss, that thing was a brick, or you may just be realizing that in fact it was a cell phone at all. Believe what you will, but all insults aside, it was a damn good cell phone. Maybe it was a little bigger than the rest of its' peers, but is that any reason to discriminate?
Here is just a glimpse of the importance of this cell phone-
"Known as good ole indestructible, this 5 pound 3 oz motorola i1000 plus will truly be missed. So many memories were attached to the good ol hunk of junk. From being submerged in inches of water (and some cheese in the wind) at 6 flags, to doubling for a football in the Manasquan gym, to hitting certain ex gfs in the face, she was one of a kind. 'Ol bessy, as I liked to call her, got us many a ride home from the movies late at night, when the gangsters were staring at us and asking if we wanted to buy some crack. And for those privileged few who got to hear her last voicemail message from a hammered Tom Carpenter in Belmar, you knew just how meaningful this phone was to all of us...I'm sorry, but I am on the verge of tears and can not continue with this, maybe another time."

If anyone can create more poignant words for my beloved cell phone, I'll be impressed. Leave a shout out for Ol' Bessy if you knew her, and always remember the cell phone with an identity crisis, my pride and joy, my Bessy.
