I have a lot of old stuff to finish up. When I re-engaged in my writing journey, I had two unfinished stories sitting on my hard drive and one that needed revision. After I finished with the first draft of one unfinished piece, I picked up the one that needed edits. Grant and I had a very intense work week this week (working on his employer's web site). His boss gave the whole team Friday off as a reward. I had meant to do some more work on other client projects, but I ended up having a pretty big writing-focused day ( Read more... )

Another productive morning of writing and making edits. Gosh, it feels so good to be chugging along. I actually like my story and my characters. Been awhile since I felt this way.

I feel much better about the "real" work I have to do today, too. When I start my day with creativity it gives the rest of my day a happy glow.

I can't express just how relieved I am to have finally finished the story I was working on. It's just under 9,000 words and needs to be much shorter (2,000 words to be precise), but at least it's done. I've been working on this story for probably more than a year, off and on. I kept dinner pretty simple tonight. Organics to You delivered a bag of various greens last week that I finally cooked. Steamed them up with butter, lemon juice, and Bragg's liquid aminos.
