Ladies and Gentlemen, we have Crawl
A finally crawled today. After months of practicing, months of watching mommy make a fool of herself, and months of carrying on in frustration she finally did it. I was going through her clothes to sort out the things that she can no longer fit into and she was playing on her floor. I looked up and she was coming my way. At first I just looked back at what I was doing, but then it hit me. Holy Crap! She's crawling! So I lavished lots of excited praise on her and tried to get her to do it again. She is still not terribly skilled at it, but she did it and she knows she can do it. That is the important thing. Childproofing needs to go into overdrive now. She is going to be hell on wheels. I am really excited and sad at the same time. This is a big step, mobility. She is never again going to lay on her back and cry because she wants to move and can't. I swear, I am going to blink and she is going to be on her way to college. I am not ready for this!
