You may be hitting on a bigger social issue there ( ... )

No, no, it makes sense, and to a large degree I agree with you. It is generally agreed that the female body is a very beautiful thing, and of course it's the first rule of history that people can and will screw up just about anything good. The male body is beautiful too, but women will pay to view the male body much, much less often, because for one thing they are much less turned on by sight, and for another, men just tend to be much less interesting to look at. It may be a gender-equality thing, or it may just be a case of what people will buy and what they won't. Not that that's any less of a social issue ( ... )

I don't even remember what class we debated this in (egads, I've been in school too long), but there was some research & debate that historically, women always stuck closer together. We sent our men away for hunting, wars, whatever and "we" stayed together. Women raised thier kids together, worked their farms together, and bonded more with thier fellows than with thier mates. Women, while they may not have had the status, were the major part of the society (the "man as hunter" thing isn't all that true, because most socities relied on the crops or gathering of the women as hunt meat was not a reliable, frequent food source) and a part that tended to stick closely together ( ... )

Yeah, that's a very strong biological urge, to bond with other women. Women often need a kind of emotional support that men don't offer, so they look for it in other women. They say that's why a lot of gay female couples have trouble, because they're both bonding in a strong emotional way and not getting much to bounce back off ( ... )

'Blood in the caffeine system'.. I read that for the first time last night and thought it was hilarious. Is it actually a somewhat common thing to say? o.O;

I think it also depends on where you come from, with the nudity thing. If you're European, you're going to be entirely used to seeing naked women on roadside billboards, naked women in TV commercials advertising water.. fully nude, mind you, and most or all of it shown ( ... )

:D Well, it's not original, but I've only heard it once or twice. My sister may have come up with it. ::pokes sister:: It's not included in Basic Fen 101, at least.

Hm. Well, I agree that men are very attractive. :D Oh yes. No problems there. The female form just...usually seems a little more surprising and interesting, I guess. That may be kind of odd, as you'd think I'd know the female body inside out.... A man has to have something really interesting or unusual about him for me to notice him, whereas most pretty women catch my eye right away.

I think it's totally normal to be attracted to men with a feminine touch. I definitely am. And consider all the girls who obsess over Orlando Bloom--not the manliest man in the world by a long shot. And I overthink everything, so I feel your pain. :) There is something to be said for cultural influence, but we can't blame everything on it. Especially since I've been sheltered beyond belief for most of my life, and I've still come out liberal and half gay. ::shrug::
