'Blood in the caffeine system'.. I read that for the first time last night and thought it was hilarious. Is it actually a somewhat common thing to say? o.O;
I think it also depends on where you come from, with the nudity thing. If you're European, you're going to be entirely used to seeing naked women on roadside billboards, naked women in TV commercials advertising water.. fully nude, mind you, and most or all of it shown.
And while I agree that the female form is perhaps just more generally pleasing - there seem to be more pretty girls than there are attractive boys - I don't really agree that men are much less interesting to look at. Not at all, actually, for me, if you a find one I think is particularly attractive. I don't know, I could be just picky, too. I have rather high standards of beauty for both genders, and I admit that I'm not really attracted much at all to 'manly men.' I like boys, who still sometimes have something slightly.. I suppose 'feminine' about them.. which maybe does say something weird about either our culture or me or something.
Or else it's completely normal and nothing at all, and I'm going with that third option, because I think past a point overanalysing things you like and saying they're bad because they're influenced by X cultural trend is silly (unless they're morally wrong or something).
:D Well, it's not original, but I've only heard it once or twice. My sister may have come up with it. ::pokes sister:: It's not included in Basic Fen 101, at least.
Hm. Well, I agree that men are very attractive. :D Oh yes. No problems there. The female form just...usually seems a little more surprising and interesting, I guess. That may be kind of odd, as you'd think I'd know the female body inside out.... A man has to have something really interesting or unusual about him for me to notice him, whereas most pretty women catch my eye right away.
I think it's totally normal to be attracted to men with a feminine touch. I definitely am. And consider all the girls who obsess over Orlando Bloom--not the manliest man in the world by a long shot. And I overthink everything, so I feel your pain. :) There is something to be said for cultural influence, but we can't blame everything on it. Especially since I've been sheltered beyond belief for most of my life, and I've still come out liberal and half gay. ::shrug::
