End of July
Where has the time gone? HOW is it the end of July already? This is craziness! I guess time really does fly when you're having fun! Man, am I having a great year. It's one for the record books!
Well, since it's Monday, that means it's time to document the weekend.
I finished at work, then went home and packed, and headed out for Lansing. We (Michelle, Nick, Mark, Greg and I) met at Joel's apartment, chilled for a little bit, then went to see "You, Me & Dupree". It was pretty funny! I am an Owen Wilson fan, so that helped. After the movie, we went to Michelles and crashed for the night. The next morning, Michelle and I cooked breakfast, then we all got ready and headed back to Joel's to start the movie marathon. This weekend's subject, Batman. So we watched a couple movies, played some darts, chatted. Just hung out. Then we went to a Lugnuts baseball game. It was a great game, high scoring. Good stuff. Then we walked down to Stobers (Lansing's "Coolest Bar"), played some shuffleboard, then went back for the night. Slept in a bit, then met the crew at Leos Lodge for lunch. A couple more Batman movies, and a Darts tournament later, we left Lansing, and headed back to Grand Ledge. Had dinner at the Log Jam, then had frozen bananas. Yum! We then headed out to play putt putt and drive some go-karts. It was a close race between Michelle and I, but she wouldn't let me by. Not that I would have let her by had we been switched. Putt putt went well, but it was so humid. I hate being sweaty, especially when you're not doing anything to sweat. Putt Putt isn't exactly physically demanding. But it was still fun, and I got 2 hole in ones. Woo Hoo! After that, we headed home since we all have to work this morning.
I hate the end of the weekend. I don't like saying goodbye, especially to Greg. I just don't like it at all. But, it happened, and I drove home, unloaded my stuff, and attempted to sleep. Very little luck. I saw every hour at least twice during the night. So, I am surprisingly awake today. It will hit me tonight. And tomorrow I am taking a half day since I have a dentist appointment, so I get to sleep in a couple of hours. That will be wonderful.
In the meantime, I have work to do. Ugh. Have a super week!
