Amusing Myself

Jun 19, 2010 19:31

I'm bored, so I decided to poke through my files to see if anything inspired me and I stumbled upon my character-code breakdown from Beleriand, finding inside an old poem I hacked way back when. Thought I'd repost it for the nostalgia (since I'm sure if you go far enough back in my LJ entries, you'll find the first time I ever posted it, if I did indeed ever post it here).

I don't recall who to credit for the Quenya Sindarin Elvish translation, so I have no idea who you'll need to lynch if it's wrong ;p

ETA: Yes, the numbers are roughly correct as per the X-Wing series of novels. I counted. I might have been off by one or two, but I *did* count. Just fyi :)

Three X-Wings for hot-shot Aces
Ten for those from other races
Nine for pilots doomed to die
One for the Great One, Immortal
On the world of Coruscant, where the Squadrons lie
One Man to rule them all; With Tycho, Wes he chose them
One Man to lead them all; From Hyperspace unite them
From the world of Coruscant where the Squadrons lie
