Suffering from Long-Weekend Syndrome

Jun 22, 2010 10:08

I have no idea what day it is.

Or, rather, I only know it's Tuesday because we brought movies back today.

With both parents home the days are running together like one long, extended weekend from hell, punctuated by the occasional oasis of a work shift for me. And even then those work shifts are bitter-sweet, because I'm trading in one set of annoyances for another. Sigh.

Woke up to the sound of thunder this morning, and it's grey and raining. Hit up the library for the books I had on hold, procured coffees for the denizens of the household, including myself and am now about to go change into shorts to prevent death by humidity, even though I know it'll prolly make my knee wonky later.

I have officially hit boredom, simply because the other activities that I would normally indulge in were I home alone cannot be enjoyed, because apparently watching four episodes of TV-DVD, or a random movie or six, or six hours of video games is somehow questionable behaviour (despite my dad doing the video game thing most days).

S'pose I'll use the time to go through my reading list, then...

Off I go for foods, since I haven't had breakfast yet.

Ho hum.

update, stuff
